How an appointment works from Miami
Most of my book is in Miami-Dade, and the county page says where I already meet: offices in Brickell and residences in Coral Gables. My own office is in Brickell, inside the city, by appointment, Monday to Saturday with after-hours by request. For a seller in Miami that is usually the simplest route: one visit, the watch inspected in front of you, nothing shipped.
Or ship it: the label, the insurance, the camera
If the drive does not suit you, I email a prepaid FedEx Priority Overnight label on my account. The parcel is insured to the declared value and signed for at both ends. When it arrives I open the box on camera and inspect the watch as I would across a desk. If we do not agree, it goes back the same way, insured, at my cost.
What I buy, and what I do not
Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Tudor, Panerai, IWC, and Zenith. Trade instead of sell
The same appraisal works as credit against anything in the catalog, or against a piece I source for you. Purchased pieces are hand-delivered to South Florida residents at no charge, so a Miami trade can be done across one desk.
When selling to a dealer is not the right call
If you have months to spare and want to run a private sale yourself, you may do better, and I will tell you so after I see the watch. If the piece is sentimental, keep it. If it is a replica, I will say so and will not buy it. What I offer is a clean, insured, documented sale from one person who can explain the number.
