My Timeless Pieces

Coral Gables · Miami-Dade County · by appointment

Sell your watch in Coral Gables.

Most of my book is in Miami-Dade, and residences in Coral Gables are one of the places I meet. Send photos first, then choose an appointment or the prepaid, insured FedEx label.

  • An appointment in Miami-Dade, at your residence or my Brickell office
  • A prepaid, fully insured FedEx label if you would rather ship
  • A personal reply within 1 business day

Who this page is for

A watch in Coral Gables and a decision to make.

This page is for anyone in Coral Gables with a luxury watch to sell or trade who wants to know, before anything leaves the house, how the process runs. You write first, I reply, then you choose how the watch and I meet.

Start with the appraisal form. Photos and a few details are enough. I reply within 1 business day with a number and the reasoning behind it.

Then two doors. Most of my book is in Miami-Dade, and I meet at offices in Brickell and residences in Coral Gables, by appointment. Or I send a prepaid, fully insured FedEx label and the watch comes to me. The Gables is a short drive from Brickell down Coral Way or US-1, so either door is open.

Why it is simple

What selling from the Gables looks like.

Residences in Coral Gables, by appointment

I meet clients in their county, not mine. In Miami-Dade that means offices in Brickell and residences in Coral Gables, Monday to Saturday, after hours by request.

Or the Brickell office

If you would rather come to me, the office is in Brickell, by appointment.

The label if you would rather not meet

A prepaid FedEx Priority Overnight label on my account, insured to the declared value, signature required at both ends. USA only.

Paid within 24 hours of inspection

Wire or certified check, your choice. If we do not make a deal, the watch goes back to you insured, at my cost.

Before you write

What I buy, what I skip, and what to have ready.

Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier

The four the sell page lists first. Sport and dress references alike, with or without papers.

Omega, Breitling, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Tudor, Panerai, IWC, Zenith

Also bought. Each has its own page on this site explaining what moves the offer for that brand.

What I do not buy

Smartwatches, fashion-brand watches, and projects without provenance. If the watch is a replica, I will tell you and decline it.

What to photograph

The dial straight on in daylight, the case back, the clasp open, the reference and serial if you can read them, and the card or papers beside the watch.

What to bring to an appointment

The watch, the box, the papers or warranty card, any extra links, and service receipts if you have them. If something is missing, say so; I price what is in front of me.

How it works

Four steps, from the form to the wire.

  1. 01

    Get an offer

Submit the form with photos and what you know: brand, reference, box and papers, service. I reply within 1 business day.

  2. 02

    Meet or ship

Book an appointment in Miami-Dade; I meet at offices in Brickell and residences in Coral Gables. Or take the prepaid, insured FedEx label.

  3. 03

    Inspect and confirm

In person, I check the case, movement, serials, and papers while you watch. A shipped box is opened on camera. If the watch matches the photos, the offer stands.

  4. 04

    Get paid

Wire within 24 hours of inspection, or a certified check. No deal, and the watch goes back insured at my cost.

The detail

Selling a watch from Coral Gables, step by step.

How an appointment works from Coral Gables

Coral Gables is one of the places the county page names: residences in the Gables are one of the two places it says I meet in Miami-Dade, the other being offices in Brickell. I meet clients in their county, not mine, so the appointment is yours to place. Your home, or my office in Brickell, whichever you prefer. Coral Way and US-1 connect the two, so the drive is short either way.

Or ship it: the label, the insurance, the camera

If a meeting is a nuisance, I send a prepaid FedEx Priority Overnight label on my account, insured to the declared value we agree on, signature required at both ends. You pack the watch, drop it at FedEx, and keep the tracking number. I open the box on camera, inspect exactly as I would in person, and if we do not make a deal the watch goes back by the same service, insured, at my cost.

What I buy, and what I do not

Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Tudor, Panerai, IWC, and Zenith. Full sets and watch-only, modern and vintage; each brand page explains what moves its offer. Not bought: smartwatches, fashion-brand watches, and projects without provenance. If I think a piece is a replica, I say so and decline it.

What to prepare before you write

Shoot the dial straight on in daylight without a flash, the case back, the clasp open, and the reference and serial if readable, with the card or papers beside the watch. Note what you know about service and replaced parts.

Trade instead of sell

If what you want is a different watch rather than cash, say so in the form. Your piece becomes credit against anything in the catalog or a piece I source for you.

When selling to a dealer is not the right call

If you have months to spare and a rare reference, a private sale or an auction house may bring more, and I will say so when I see the watch. If the piece carries family history and no number would feel right, keep it. If it is a replica, nobody honest will buy it, including me.

How to prepare your submission

  • Dial straight on in daylight, no flash.
  • Case back; clasp open with its code where there is one.
  • Reference and serial if readable, or say they are not.
  • Card or papers beside the watch, or note that they are missing.
  • Whether you want to meet in Miami-Dade or take the label.

Coral Gables

A real number on your watch, in 1 business day.

Send the photos. I reply personally, then we meet in the Gables or I send the label. Paid within 24 hours of inspection, by wire or check.
