Who this page is for
Rolex's only annual calendar sells on details the brand page does not cover.
This page is for the owner of a Sky-Dweller who wants to know what it is worth to a dealer this week, and why. Maybe you waited on a list for a steel 326934 and your taste has moved on. Maybe you were given a gold one on leather and never set the calendar. Maybe a marketplace quote looks thin and you want a person to explain it.
A Sky-Dweller is not priced like a Submariner or a Datejust. It is the only annual calendar Rolex makes: a 42 mm case, a second time zone on a rotating disc, and a fluted bezel that doubles as the function selector. Steel examples were scarce at retail for most of their run. Gold examples are priced on metal first. The 2023 refresh changed the calibre and added a Jubilee option.
Below I explain which Sky-Dweller you have in my eyes, what has to be in your photos, and what moves the offer. Serial eras, card versus papers, polishing, and service work in general live on the Rolex page, linked below.

Why this model is different to sell
What I bring to a Sky-Dweller that a generic buyer does not.
The calendar is tested, not glanced at
I run the month, the date, and the second time zone through every Ring Command position before I confirm the offer. A Sky-Dweller that will not set is a different watch, and I say so.
Steel and gold on separate grounds
A 326934 is judged against a scarce steel set. A 326938 or 326935 is judged on metal, bracelet, and dial. I do not blend the two into one range.
2017 or 2023, named in the reply
The 326934 and the 336934 look alike across a room. The calibre, the bracelet option, and the card date do not. I name your series in the reply.
The card weighs more here
Every Sky-Dweller left the boutique with a warranty card. On steel it proves the allocation. On all of them it dates the service clock.
What I check on a Sky-Dweller
Five things that decide a Sky-Dweller offer.
Each one moves the number. The reply says which way for your reference.
Reference: 3269xx or 3369xx
The number between the lugs gives series and metal: 326934 steel, 326933 yellow Rolesor, 326938 yellow gold, 326935 Everose, 326139 white gold on leather, 326238 Oysterflex, and the 3369xx family from 2023.
Ring Command bezel and crown
The fluted bezel should click cleanly into each position and the crown should set the chosen function without resistance. A bezel that slips is noted and priced.
Month apertures and the 24-hour disc
The red month marker should agree with the date. The off-centre disc should track the reference time while the local hour hand moves on its own.
Oyster, Jubilee, Oysterflex, or leather
The bracelet sets the comparable set. Jubilee is 2023 onward only. Oysterflex is gold only, from 2020. Leather marks a first-series gold piece.
Bezel, dial, and case condition
The white gold bezel on the steel model shows dings on the flutes first. Champagne and chocolate dials on gold show spotting. Unpolished lugs read as the better watch.
How it works
Four steps, with the Sky-Dweller photos spelled out.
01
Get an offer
Submit the form with daylight photos: the dial straight on with the red month marker readable, the reference between the lugs, the fluted bezel from the side, the clasp open with its code, the rehaut at six o'clock, the case back, and the warranty card beside the watch. Say whether the calendar sets correctly. I reply within 1 business day.
02
Ship or meet
Take the prepaid, fully insured FedEx label, USA only, or book an appointment in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach. Do not force the date or the month before you ship.
03
Inspect and confirm
I open the box on camera and check the case, serial, card, and bracelet. Then I run the bezel through every position and set the month, the date, and the second time zone. If it matches the photos, the offer stands.
04
Get paid
Wire or check within 24 hours of inspection. If we do not agree, the watch goes back to you insured, at my cost.
First series or 2023 refresh
326934 and siblings, or 336934 and siblings.
The two series share a case size, a bezel system, and a dial layout. They do not share a calibre, a bracelet list, or a warranty window.
| Criteria | 3269xx (2012 to 2023) | 3369xx (2023 onward) |
|---|---|---|
| Calibre | 9001, the first Rolex annual calendar movement | 9002, same functions with the newer escapement |
| Steel and two-tone bracelet | Oyster bracelet only | Oyster or Jubilee, chosen at purchase |
| Gold strap options | Leather on the first series, Oyster bracelet from around 2014, Oysterflex from 2020 | Oyster bracelet or Oysterflex; no leather |
| Warranty | Original warranty has lapsed on most examples | Many still inside the original window, which the card proves |
| How I price steel | Against a discontinued, scarce set, dial by dial | Against current examples, with Jubilee and Oyster kept apart |
Directions, not figures. The exact effect depends on the reference, the dial, and the week.
The detail
What moves a Sky-Dweller offer, and why.
Which Sky-Dweller you have
The line launched around 2012 in gold on leather: 326139 white gold, 326138 yellow gold, 326135 Everose. Around 2014 the same metals came on an Oyster bracelet as 326939, 326938, and 326935. In 2017 Rolex added the steel 326934, with a white gold fluted bezel, and the yellow Rolesor 326933. In 2020 yellow gold and Everose moved onto Oysterflex as 326238 and 326235, and leather left the catalogue. In 2023 the line became 3369xx, with calibre 9002 and a Jubilee option on steel and two-tone.
The reference is engraved between the lugs at twelve o'clock, under the end link. Send that photo first.
The annual calendar, and why I test it
Rolex calls the system Saros. Twelve apertures sit above the hour markers; the one filled in red is the current month. The date corrects itself between 30 and 31 day months and needs one correction a year, at the end of February. The second time zone sits on an off-centre rotating disc. The Ring Command bezel is the selector: turn it to a position and the crown sets the date, the local time, or the reference time.
A disc that lags, a bezel that will not seat, or a date that changes at the wrong hour means a movement visit before resale, and I price that in. If something does not set, say so in the first message. It does not stop the sale.
Steel: the 326934 and the 336934
The steel model sold on allocation for most of its run, and clean examples have traded above retail at times. The white gold fluted bezel is the tell; dials came in white, black, and blue. I compare your watch against recent sales of that exact dial, series, and bracelet.
Sell now, or hold a first-series 326934? Discontinued steel Rolex sometimes firms up. But the 336934 is close to identical from the outside, so the last-of story is weaker than when a bezel material or a case size changes.
Gold and two-tone: priced on metal first
Yellow gold, Everose, and white gold Sky-Dwellers start from the value of the metal, then move on strap type, dial, and set. The yellow Rolesor 326933 with a champagne dial is the configuration I see most. Oysterflex examples trade on the strap, rubber over a metal blade and sized to the case. On a first-series gold piece the leather is a consumable: a worn strap trims the offer a little, and the head, bezel, clasp, and card carry the weight.
Why the warranty card matters more on this model
Every Sky-Dweller shipped with a plastic warranty card. There was no punched-paper era for this model. On steel, the card proves the watch was allocated at a retailer. On every version, its date fixes the series and starts the service clock on a calibre that costs more to service than a time-only Rolex. Without the card I still appraise the watch, but expect a wider gap than on a Datejust.
Service history on a 9001 or 9002
A service on this calibre is a bigger job than on a three-hand movement, so I want to know who last opened the case. Rolex Service Center paperwork is the cleanest answer. An independent service without records is priced as unknown history. Do not book a service before selling. If the bezel assembly or the dial was replaced, say so; it has to match the card and the series.
When selling to me is not the right call
If you have months and want to chase the top private-sale price on a steel example, a dealer offer will sit below what a patient seller might get. If the watch is a replica or a franken piece, I will tell you and I will not buy it. If it was a gift and you are undecided, keep it. If you want it to become a Daytona or a Day-Date, the trade page is the better door: same inspection, and the credit applies to anything in the case or sourced to order.
How to prepare your submission
- Daylight photos: dial straight on with the red month marker readable, the fluted bezel from the side, both sides of the case, the case back, the clasp open with its code.
- The reference between the lugs and the serial on the rehaut at six o'clock, or the warranty card next to the watch.
- Whether the bezel clicks into each position and the crown sets month, date, and second time zone.
- Bracelet type and spare links, or strap type and any second strap.
- Service history: who, when, and what was replaced, or say that you do not know.
- Ship on my label or meet in person, and which county you are in.
Questions, answered
Before you send a Sky-Dweller
Is my steel Sky-Dweller worth more than retail?
It has been, at times, because the 326934 sold on allocation for most of its run. Whether yours is this week depends on the dial, series, bracelet, and set. I give you a number, not a rule.
Is the 2023 version worth more than the 2017 one?
Not automatically. The 336934 carries calibre 9002, offers a Jubilee bracelet, and is more likely to be under warranty. A clean first-series 326934 with its card is judged against its own discontinued set.
Do you buy gold Sky-Dwellers on leather?
Yes. The first-series 326139, 326138, and 326135 are gold watches first. A worn strap lowers the offer a little; the head, bezel, clasp, and card carry the weight.
What if I have no card?
I still appraise it. On a Sky-Dweller the card matters more than on a Datejust: it proves the allocation on steel and dates the service clock. Expect a wider gap.
Can I trade it toward a Daytona?
Yes. The inspection is the same, and the credit applies to anything in the case or sourced to order. Start on the trade page, or say so on the appraisal form.
