My Timeless Pieces

Wellington · Palm Beach County · by appointment

Sell your watch in Wellington.

I schedule Palm Beach appointments around the season and I am in Boca twice a month. Between those dates, a prepaid, fully insured FedEx label gets a Wellington watch to my desk overnight.

Who this page is for

A Wellington seller, a watch, and two ways to get it to me.

This page is for someone in Wellington with a luxury watch to sell or trade and no interest in a long process. Wellington is a village in the western part of Palm Beach County, one of the three counties I serve, and selling from there works as it does across the county.

The first step is the appraisal form: photos, the reference if you know it, and a few words about the watch's history. I reply personally within 1 business day with a number and the reasons for it.

The second step is yours. I am in Boca twice a month and schedule Palm Beach proper around the season, so a Wellington appointment goes on that calendar. If the next open date is further off than you want, the prepaid, insured label is the alternative.

What holds

What a Wellington seller can count on.

Scheduled around the season

Palm Beach appointments go on the season's calendar, alongside my Boca days. Send your open dates and I match them to my next trip.

Overnight on my label

FedEx Priority Overnight, prepaid, insured to the declared value, signature at both ends.

Private, by appointment

No shopfront, no walk-ins. One dealer, one appointment, the watch inspected by hand.

Paid within 24 hours of inspection

Wire or check. If we do not make a deal, the watch goes back insured, at my cost.

Before the form

The brands, the exclusions, and what to have in hand.

Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre

Sport and dress, steel and precious metal, with or without the set.

Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Tudor, Panerai, IWC, Zenith

If you are unsure of the reference, send the case back and I will identify it.

What I pass on

Smartwatches, fashion-brand watches, projects without provenance, and replicas.

Photos

The dial in daylight, the case back, the clasp open, and the papers beside the watch. No studio needed.

For an appointment

The watch, its box, the warranty card or papers, loose links, and service records.

The detail

Selling from Wellington, step by step.

How an appointment works from Wellington

I meet clients in their county, not mine. For Palm Beach County the habit is fixed: I am in Boca twice a month, and for Palm Beach proper I schedule appointments around the season. A Wellington appointment is booked on that calendar. You send the days that work; I reply with the next one I can make, and the drive west is mine.

Wellington is an inland village of residential and equestrian properties in the western county, reached from Southern Boulevard or Forest Hill Boulevard. The geography only matters for timing. If my next date west of the Turnpike is further out than you want, the label is the quicker route.

Or ship it: the label, the insurance, the camera

I send a prepaid FedEx Priority Overnight label on my account, insured to the declared value, signature at both ends. USA only. The box is opened on camera when it reaches me, and the inspection that follows is the one I would do at your table: case, movement, serial, papers.

What I buy, and what I do not

Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Omega, Breitling, Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Tudor, Panerai, IWC, and Zenith. A bare watch is still a watch I will quote. Not smartwatches, fashion-brand watches, or projects without provenance, and a replica is declined the moment I identify it.

What to prepare before you write

Photograph the dial straight on in daylight, the case back, the clasp open with the code visible, and the card or papers beside the watch. Note the reference and serial if you can read them and any service you know of. Say plainly what is missing; it is priced, not held against you.

Trade instead of sell

If you would rather come away with a different watch, the appraisal becomes credit toward anything in the case or a piece I source to order. The inspection and the number are identical.

When selling to a dealer is not the right call

If you own a rare reference and can wait months, a private sale or auction may bring more, and I will say so after the inspection. If the watch is worth more to you than to the market, keep it. If it is a replica, I decline it. What I sell is certainty: one person, an insured route, a documented number.

How to prepare your submission

  • Dial straight on in daylight, no flash.
  • Case back and, if readable, the serial.
  • Clasp open with the code showing.
  • Warranty card or papers beside the watch, or say they are gone.
  • Meet in Palm Beach County or ship, and your open days.
